Food Recipe: Super Duper Easy Fruit Salad

Fruit Salad is probably one of the most common Filipino desserts. As they say, "Hindi kumpleto ang party, kung walang fruit salad". It is very easy and simple to prepare. Just prepare the fruit of your choice and mix it with cream.

1. Prepare the ingredients.

2. Drain fruits, kaong and nata de coco for about an hour. While waiting, mix the cream and condensed milk.

3. Mix both together then chill for an hour before serving.

Very easy, right?

Style Spotlight: Rope Braid

Rope braid is a pretty and unusual braid that does end up looking like this sort of rope. It is simply achieved by twisting two strands of hair, then winding the strands around each other to form a rope. It has become a new style for Spring 2010, as seen on the runways of Matthew Williamson and Zac Posen.

Here are some celebrities who sported the rope braid.

Here is the video tutorial on how to do rope braids.

As usual, I used my mom's ever beloved wig.

That's all for tonight. I'll continue reading my new book, Style Yourself.

Sunset

My first official BLOGSPOT post :) I've decided to move here as Tumblr is best for people who wants to reblog only. Left my almost 200 followers :( But don't fret, I'll use Tumblr my source of food and fashion inspiration.

Moving on, yesterday's look consists of dress-turned-cape, bustier from F21, DIY shorts and wedge from CMG. Hype my look here!

I also did a rope braid hairstyle. I'll write the tutorial on my next post!

I wish I won't regret moving here :(

My Cup of Tea

If there's one thing that I am really good at, aside from kaartehan and eating, it would be editing pictures to make it look creative. (Note: I do more of photo effects rather than photo retouch. Di ko nga kaya edit scars ko and my round face. Haha!)
Recently, I've been seeing a lot of creative flying fashion photos. Below are my favorites:

Whenever I try to make myself look like I'm floating, it would end up so bad. So I've decided to start small - with inanimate objects, and in this case, a tea pot.

Sweater from Mango, floral skirt from SM department store, stockings, shoes from my sister (PrP), nerdy glasses from a thrift store, and wooden necklace (my new fave). Hype my look here

As for the hair, check my previous blog post for today's inspiration :)

Hope veryone's safe out there!

One Green Generation

Hola from Nueva Ecija!

As promised, here goes my look for today. Spring look, though the weather has changed already!

Floral polo given by Mom, green shorts from Maldita, nude bodysuit, shoes from CMG (wore them during my cousin's wedding), belt from PRP, accessories from everywhere.

By the way, as you can see, I've recently dyed my hair. Also, I wore a wig to make my hair look longer! What do you think?

That's all folks!

Tribal Dance

It is officially the end of summer as it is either cloudy or rainy the whole week. A bit of trivia. I like it better when it's raining, not only because of the chilly weather, but because of the gloomy aura it exudes. Weird.
Went to the mall to do some errands, then to the hospital to remove some stitches. Below is my chika outfit.
Tribal-ish printed dress from Mango (Sister's closet), wooden accessories from my mom, dark brown belt, and boots from Forever 21. Hype my look here

If you're wondering where these pictures were taken, it was on a vacant lot inside a subdivision. Bongga ang talahib, it follows the wind!

That's all for now.

Style Spotlight: Fishtail Braid

The Fishtail braid, also known as the Herringbone or Fishbone, looks elaborate, time-consuming and difficult to do. But it's actually the opposite.

Here are some of the celebrities who sported fishtail braid.

I've been wanting to try this for so long but my hair is just too short. Fortunately, my mom has a wig on her closet and as you can see, I've been using it quite often nowadays <insert frustrations of not having a long hair here>.

A while ago, I've stumbled upon a tutorial on how to execute fish braid.

Here are the steps on how to do fishtail braid from Wikihow.
  1. Divide your hair into two large sections.
  2. Pull a thick strand of hair from the outside of the first section over itself, and add it to the second section. Pull a thick strand of hair from the outside of the first section over itself, and add it to the second section.
  3. Do the same for the other side. Do the same for the other side. Pull a skinny strand of hair out from the outside of the second section, and add it to the first section. Err on the side of making it loose.
  4. Keep repeating the steps until you reach the end of your hair. Keep repeating the steps until you reach the end of your hair.
  5. Finish your fishtail braid off by tying your hair with an elastic. Finish your fishtail braid off by tying your hair with an elastic.
I did on my faux hair!

Cool Water On A Hot Summer Day

Glad to have taken this photo! It was the last day of hot summer. The next day, it rained cats and dogs.
This look has this summer beach vibe, minus the crochet cardigan. Dress-turned-top from Cotton On, beach pants and pink crochet cardigan from sister's closet, accessories were presents from mom. Hype my look here

That's all for today :)

Style Spotlight: Tamara Gonzales Perea

This gorgeous and very fasyon lady from Poland is one of the many stylish girls that you can find on Lookbook. Although, I haven't even met her personally, it's not that difficult to tell that her personality is as vibrant and sweet as her color-bursting outfits.

Colorful Headdresses

Colorful Shoes

Coloful Skirts, Blazers and Dresses

Obviously, she loves color too much and she perfectly pulls them off. More of her looks on her Lookbook and blog page.
